After Samsung and its Galaxy Tab in 2010, ASUS may well be in 2011 the number one Apple competitor in the sector of touch tablets

Asian manufacturers, which is entrusted to DigiTimes, announced that ASUS became the most important sector behind the Apple brand. It must be said that its Eee Pad Transformer (our test) is out of stock and that its sales will be much good for the second half of the year. Add Eee Pad Slider this summer, EEE Pad Memo 3D and the later, Padfone and EEE Pad Transformer 2 next year (or even before according to DigiTimes), and you’ll see that ASUS should capture a significant share of the market shelves this year and the years to come.

According to our colleague, ASUS will become this year’s customer n ° 1 NVIDIA for its smart ARM. 2.5 million of Tegra and Tegra 3 should be commissioned this year, including a part for a future portable PC. EEA Pad Transformer will clearly be the star of this year for ASUS, thanks to its aggressive tariff.
