After the Gingerbread update for the HTC mid-June in the shortest possible time and gecanceled was again confirmed, it is now actually available

However, the update comes with a few serious limitations. As HTC stated on his Facebook fan page, it is in the update only a development version, which is intended exclusively for professionals and not for everyday use. For example, the update installation deletes SMS, E-Mails, personalized wallpaper, various HTC apps and the Facebook app. The reason is the low, internal memory of desire.
In addition, the update does not desire smartphones purchased from North America, South Korea or Japan will work. Also for German mobile phones with Telekom branding to have compatibility issues.

Update at your own risk

All these restrictions, it seems only logical that HTC of the 160 MByte large update distributed not over the air, but offers only on its developer site to download. The Taiwanese also confirm to accept no liability for damages
