Interviewed by All Things Digital, Stephen DeWitt, who directs the division webOS at HP, has clearly confirmed: webOS is not dead. Far from it. Only its future remains uncertain. The only data deemed safe for the moment are:

HP will continue to work on webOS
webOS will operate on its printer and PC
webOS of updates to Veer TouchPad and will be published by HP

Other new or confirmation, Pre 3 will see the day in some countries (including France), but not everywhere. Its quantities are limited, HP should probably target the country’s most important priority.
