Flash 11 RC1: The 64 bits available for almost all 22 September 2011

Adobe has announced that the final versions of the Flash Player 11 and AIR platform 3 will be available in early October, so in less than two weeks. These outputs are particularly significant because the publisher found important innovations such as 64-bit or true 3D.

Adobe recently released the Release Candidate of the Flash Player to version 11. This is major, in the sense that the news is important, but also and especially because this is the first for all 64-bit operating systems.

Begin by recalling the main list of new Flash 11:

Stage3D APIs for creating visuals for collaboration on the 3D models
Support for the G.711 codec for voice
Best local H.264 encoding
Support for Socket Progress events that create applications that can transfer large amounts of data
Support for 7.1 sound
