Microsoft Bing costing 1,000 million dollars per quarter 24 September 2011

Despite ensure that it is by eating ground to Google, 14.7% of market share was achieved Bing at the expense of Yahoo, AOL and Ask.com.

Microsoft takes a few years competing in the search market with its engine Bing, but does not seem out of accounts. Google remains the king of search while Microsoft only shows signs of providing stiff competition.

The truth is that Microsoft seems to be pretty busy with Bing, who according to information from CNN is losing almost 1,000 million dollars each quarter. It is estimated that since it was launched in the summer of 2009, Microsoft has lost $ 5,500 million in service, and it appears that the losses are accelerating as time passes.

However, not all losses can be attributed to Bing. Apparently Microsoft has never made money on its search offerings, although since it embarked on the adventure of searching investment could have reached 9,000 million dollars.
