Spotify creates ‘Private Listening’ mode 1 October 2011

After criticism by the integration with Facebook

Apparently the criticism about the integration with Facebook have penetrated on Spotify and via Twitter, the company has announced a new way to ‘Private Listening’ that allows the user to hide completely on Facebook that plays in the application.

The new option can be found in the menu of Spotify. To activate, the user must select file and click on ‘Private Listening’ function that appears on Spotify now.

The agreement between Facebook and Spotify announced last week allowed the option of integrating both services. A measure that Spotify would introduce the more than 800 million users with Facebook.

The integration allows Facebook to publish by default all the music the user listen to Spotify. Social network users can do ‘I like’ in the songs of other friends, as well as playing them in your own application.
