JavaOne Conference: Everything that relates to Java 7 October 2011

Oracle has addressed the future of Java at its annual conference, JavaOne

The JavaOne conference, held this week has enabled Oracle to provide more information on the future of technology. Outside classical elements specific to the different branches, one sees a change on the fixed/mobile strategy. 500 speakers in 400 sessions will cover everything that relates to Java: programming of modern apps that use of JDK 7, JavaFX for client applications that use the cloud, etc.
The JavaOne is around the same time as the Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco but takes the second to 6 October. It is staffed by Oracle is not nearly as prominent as the OpenWorld. However, it is the biggest event of the Java community.

Oracle has also announced his intention to present a proposal on the JavaFX platform to open source a new project in the OpenJDK community. Oracle intends to first UI contribute the JavaFX controls and associated libraries; It is envisaged that more JavaFX follow components in
